Established in 1989
Who we are.
Ideal Transport is a specialized furniture carrier founded in 1990 by Jim and Janelda Deal (pictured to the right). It was their goal to provide LTL and truckload transportation services and consolidation with fast, dependable and courteous service to the Rocky Mountain States. In 2011, under the leadership of new and current owners, Larry and Terrye Ward, Ideal Transport expanded service to Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri to better service their customers. In 2012 Ideal suffered a tremendous loss when Larry passed unexpectedly. Terrye continued on with the business and today, takes great pride in the family atmosphere she has created at Ideal Transport. Terrye has the privilege of working closely with some of her relatives and the rest of the Ideal Transport team, which she considers family. The Ideal Transport team enjoys being actively involved in the community, supporting local youth, and creating a fun environment for employees to come to everyday.
In 2017, Ideal Transport Inc. acquired a new office, shop, and drop yard in Evanston, WY and began servicing Arizona and New Mexico. In 2019, Ideal Transport not only opened the doors to a new, more spacious warehouse to accommodate the growing customer base in Conover, NC but also became a certified "Woman Owned Small Business."

Where we're headed.
In November of 2023, Ideal Transport expanded it's LTL and truckload transportation services and consolidation to begin deliveries from Southern California straight into our service area. We saw the great need for our customers to route California freight via Ideal Transport and we are excited to be able to now provide this service to them! Ideal Transport now provides service to the following states: AZ, CO, IA, ID, KS, the southern half of MN, MO, MT, NE, ND, NM, NV, SD, UT, and the southern corner of WA.
